- Welcome and Acceptance
These Terms cover how we work together when you visit askqhome.com or engage AskQ Home Solutions for public adjuster services. By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
If you don’t agree with these Terms, please don’t use our website or services. - Who We Are
AskQ Home Solutions is an independent public adjuster firm licensed in the State of Illinois. We represent you, the policyholder — not your insurance company.
When the insurance company sends their adjuster, that adjuster is representing the insurance company’s interests. Our job is to make sure your interests are equally represented.
Our services may include:
Reviewing your insurance policy
Inspecting and documenting property damage
Preparing and submitting claim documentation
Communicating and negotiating with your insurance carrier
Advocating for the maximum settlement available under the terms of your policy
- The Engagement Letter Governs the Relationship
If you decide to engage AskQ Home Solutions to represent you on an insurance claim, a separate written Public Adjuster Agreement (“Engagement Letter”) will govern that representation. The Engagement Letter — not these website Terms — is the legal contract for our public adjuster services.
The Engagement Letter will clearly disclose:
Our compensation structure (a percentage of the approved claim settlement, contingency-based)
The scope of representation
Your right to cancel under Illinois law (including the three (3) business day right of rescission required under the Illinois Public Adjusters Act, 215 ILCS 5/1551 et seq.)
All other disclosures required by Illinois law
No work begins, and no fees are collected, until you have read and signed the Engagement Letter.
These website Terms do not replace, modify, or override the Engagement Letter.
- Independence and Contractor Referrals
AskQ Home Solutions is an independent public adjuster firm. We do not own, operate, or hold any financial interest in any roofing, restoration, or construction company. We do not receive referral fees, kickbacks, or any other compensation from contractors in exchange for sending them work.
If your claim is approved and you need contractor work performed, we may introduce you to contractors from our vetted network as a service to you. However:
You are not required to use any contractor we recommend.
You are free to select any licensed contractor of your choosing.
We do not assign or require contractor selection.
We do not guarantee the workmanship, pricing, or outcomes of any third-party contractor.
This independence is structural and intentional — it’s how we ensure that any contractor we recommend is recommended because they’re the right fit for your job, not because they’re paying us.
- No Guarantee of Claim Outcome
We do not guarantee:
That your claim will be approved
The amount of any settlement
The timeline for resolution
Outcomes depend on the terms of your insurance policy, the facts of the loss, and decisions made by your insurance carrier. Any estimates we provide are based on our professional judgment and are not promises of result.
- Not Legal Advice
AskQ Home Solutions is a licensed public adjuster firm — not a law firm. Nothing on this website or in our communications constitutes legal advice. If you have legal questions about your insurance policy, your rights, or any dispute, you should consult a licensed Illinois attorney. - Your Responsibilities
To represent you effectively, we need your cooperation. By engaging our services, you agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information about the loss, your property, and your insurance policy
Cooperate during inspections and documentation
Forward relevant insurance company communications to us promptly
Not interfere with the claim process by communicating with the insurance company in ways that contradict our representation, without first discussing it with us
Failure to do these things may impact the outcome of your claim.
- Communications Consent (TCPA)
By submitting your information through our website, intake forms, or by initiating contact with us, you consent to receive communications from AskQ Home Solutions, including:
Phone calls
Text messages (SMS)
Emails
These communications may include claim updates, appointment reminders, follow-ups, and other service-related information.
Message and data rates may apply. Frequency varies based on the status of your claim.
To opt out:
Reply STOP to any SMS message

Consent to receive communications is not a condition of being represented. You can opt out of marketing communications and remain a client.
- Call Recording
Calls to and from AskQ Home Solutions may be recorded for documentation, quality assurance, training, and compliance purposes. Illinois is a two-party consent state — by continuing a call after being notified of recording, you consent to the recording. - Anti-Solicitation Compliance
Illinois law restricts how public adjusters may solicit business immediately following a catastrophic event. AskQ Home Solutions complies fully with these regulations. We do not knock on doors after storms, and we do not solicit homeowners during prohibited windows. If you are contacted by anyone claiming to represent AskQ Home Solutions in a way that feels like high-pressure solicitation, please contact us at [Insert Email] — we want to know. - Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under Illinois law, AskQ Home Solutions, its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for:
Decisions made by your insurance carrier
Delays caused by your insurance carrier or other third parties
The performance, workmanship, pricing, or conduct of any third-party contractor (including contractors in our vetted network whom you choose to engage)
Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website or our services
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Illinois law.
- Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [Insert County], Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Note for attorney review: AskQ should decide with counsel whether to add a binding arbitration clause and/or class-action waiver. There are real trade-offs (consumer-friendly vs. risk reduction). Leaving as a venue clause for now.
- Accessibility
AskQ Home Solutions is committed to making our website accessible to people with disabilities. We work to follow applicable accessibility guidelines. If you encounter difficulty using any part of our website, please contact us at [Insert Email] and we’ll work to resolve it. - Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes that affect existing clients, we’ll provide direct notice via the contact information on file. - Contact Us
Questions about these Terms? We’d rather hear from you than have you guess.
